Inspired by an old folk tradition that honors winter while looking forward to springtime… let’s gather in community and celebrate the bridge between the seasons! We’ll take a nature walk and look for early signs of spring and make homemade butter… and then we warm up indoors at Coastal Mass Brewery where we'll enjoy craft beer and a craft project: making and decorating our own beeswax candles! All crafting materials provided and no experience necessary.

Celebrate the start of winter & honor the Earth with a traditional wassail in an apple orchard: singing songs, sipping cider, and a guided self-reflection and ritual to make wishes and set intentions for the coming year. After the outdoor portion, we will warm up indoors at a local cider taproom where we will craft sustainable bird feeders!

Event takes place in two locations: Long Hill Reservation (Beverly, MA) from 10:00 - 11:30, and Far From the Tree Cider Taproom (Salem, MA) from 12:00 - 1:00.

Adults deserve to play outside, too!

This 3-hour workshop focuses on connecting with nature and your inner child through play, exploration, imagination, and curiosity. Tune in to both your inner and outer environments, and walk away with a deeper connection to yourself and to the Earth.
